Human-Free AP, Cash App & Freight Auditing With $16M Verified Savings in 3 Months

Eliminating manual work, preventing financial leakage, and creating diligence-ready controls across AP, cash app, and freight operations.

The Challenge

AlphaCo, a diversified advanced-manufacturing company operating across multiple regions and supply chains, faced increasing financial leakage, freight-spend opacity, and manual AP/cash app bottlenecks as it prepared for the next stage of private-equity driven growth.

The finance organization struggled with:

• Manual invoice ingestion, coding, and routing
• No clear visibility into true freight spend, particularly with major carriers
• Early-payment discounts frequently missed due to routing delays
• Duplicate invoices entering plant-level workflows
• Lengthening cycle times slowing cash conversion
• Difficulty hiring and retaining transactional AP/cash app roles
• Exposure to audit findings and working-capital variability

Leadership needed human-free processing, continuous preventive controls, and verified accuracy across AP, cash app, and freight, quickly and without expanding headcount.

The Shift to OpenEnvoy

OpenEnvoy was deployed across AP (August 2024), Freight Auditing (August 2024), and Cash App Automation (December 2024), replacing fragmented workflows with a single, centralized Autonomous Finance system:

• Human-free invoice ingestion, coding, and routing
• Real-time supplier overbilling and freight - billing detection
• Global workflow standardization across AP and cash application
• Continuous preventive controls
• Audit-ready reporting for PE stakeholders
